Daniel served as Head of Engineering at Chemify, where he built and led the engineering function from the ground up: a team of five spanning electrical, mechanical, chemistry and software. He created the engineering suite (laser cutter, 3D printer and more) so the team could design, build and revise custom research hardware in-house, rather than wait on external suppliers.
That capability let the team iterate at speed, building up to four prototypes of the same assembly per day, an iteration cadence that let them converge on working designs in days rather than months. This is the same capability we now help other teams internalise.
Alongside that work, the engagement covered strategy and technical execution guidance across robotics, lab infrastructure and AI-enabled chemistry workflows as Chemify scaled operations. Outputs included architectural recommendations, implementation sequencing and practical templates to support long-horizon experimentation development.
